Biography

Colby Maun is the Director of Player Performance and Development at Pease Baseball Professionals, now in his fourth year leading the organization’s strength, conditioning, and athlete development systems. A former collegiate pitcher at Frederick Community College and Wilson College, Colby’s approach is grounded in sports science, elite training methodology, and firsthand experience overcoming a UCL injury and Tommy John surgery.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Cressey Sports Performance Internship in Florida, where he trained athletes ranging from youth to MLB players, and holds a degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Wilson College. His work integrates biomechanics, strength and conditioning, recovery, and data-driven performance analysis using tools such as Proteus Motion.

Colby previously served as a personal trainer at PowerTrain Sports & Fitness and as an online wellness and performance coach. Pease Baseball has further invested in his professional development through a 15-month, 750+ hour massage therapy program at Potomac Massage Training Institute, positioning Colby to deliver advanced recovery and arm-care solutions, particularly for pitchers.

Raised in Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania, Colby’s work ethic was forged through competitive baseball and an entrepreneurial family background. A high school record-holder with over 300 strikeouts, he was part of nationally ranked pitching staffs at Frederick Community College and remains driven by developing resilient, high-performing athletes.

At Pease Baseball Professionals, Colby’s mission is simple: build stronger, healthier, more durable athletes through intelligent training, elite recovery, and long-term development.
