Josh Conway

Josh has both coached and played baseball at the professional and collegiate levels. Most recently he held roles as Pitching Coach and Development Coach for the Baltimore Orioles organization (2022 #1 Minor League System ranked by MLB) where he was responsible for pitch design and player planning using advanced data analysis, including Trackman and Edgertronic (slow motion capture), for AA Bowie (2022, 2019) and High A Aberdeen (2020-2021). Prior to that he held the role of Student Assistant, Pitching, at Coastal Carolina, where he graduated with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management. Here he assisted the pitching coach in managing the pitching staff, where they won the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship and hosted an NCAA Regional. Conway attended Coastal Carolina 2009-2012 before being selected in the 4th round of the 2012 draft by the Chicago Cubs, playing in their system until 2017. He was ranked the 2015 Chicago Cubs #30 Organizational Prospect and reached the AA level. Josh is a graduate of Smithsburg Highschool and lives in Frederick, MD with his wife and daughter.

He does an phenomenal job drawing up player development plans / models, which really helps players understand their goals, and what it will take to get there.
