Defensive Development Built on Precision and Preparation

At Pease Baseball Professionals, we believe elite defense is developed through detail, repetition, and intent. Our fielding instruction is built on years of daily work with infielders and outfielders who have learned how to slow the game down, trust their preparation, and make difficult plays look routine.

Defense is not reactive here. It is trained, anticipated, and owned.

Position-Specific Instruction That Translates

Every defensive role carries unique demands. Our instruction is tailored specifically to infielders and outfielders, addressing the footwork, angles, reads, and responsibilities required at each position. We teach athletes how to move efficiently into and through the baseball so their mechanics hold up under pressure.

Glove Work, Footwork, and Transfer Efficiency

We develop soft hands, clean exchanges, and efficient foot patterns that allow defenders to stay athletic through the ball. Transfers are trained with intent, helping players move quickly from fielding to throwing without wasted motion. Precision matters, especially when time is limited.

Reaction Speed and Athletic Movement

Great defenders win the first step. We train reaction speed, agility, and body control to build explosive first movements and confident recovery. The goal is simple: arrive on time, under control, and ready to make the play.

Arm Strength, Accuracy, and Throwing Integrity

Strong, accurate throws across the diamond are built through sound mechanics and repeatable movement patterns. We train throwing efficiency that allows players to generate arm strength while maintaining consistency and long-term health.

Game IQ and Anticipation

Defense is as much mental as it is physical. We teach situational awareness, anticipation, and decision-making so players understand where the play is going before the ball is hit. Preparation creates confidence, and confidence creates consistency.

Coaching, Standards, and Accountability

Our coaches build strong relationships with players while holding them to high defensive standards. Communication, effort, and attention to detail are non-negotiables. Defensive excellence is expected, not optional.

Beyond the Play

Fielding develops discipline, awareness, and trust in preparation. These traits carry into competition and life beyond baseball. Our commitment is to develop defenders who take pride in their craft and responsibility in every rep.

“Great defense doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through preparation and accountability.”

He later transferred to Lycoming College, where his offensive profile exploded and his name became permanently etched into the record books.

At FCC, Brody recorded 4 home runs and 20 RBI, establishing himself as a dangerous middle-of-the-order presence before advancing to NCAA competition.

At Lycoming, Brody developed into one of the most productive hitters in program history.

His collegiate career concluded with the following:
