Youth Instruction Program (Ages 8–9)

This summer, Pease Baseball Professionals is excited to introduce a new youth instruction option specifically designed for players ages 8–9.

Over the years, we’ve had a number of players grow through the walls of PBP and develop not only as athletes, but as leaders, teammates, and role models. This program is built around three of those players who have spent the last 7–8 years developing inside our environment and have consistently demonstrated the character, work ethic, baseball knowledge, and passion for teaching that align with the standards of Pease Baseball Professionals.

We are fully confident in their ability to positively impact younger athletes and help introduce players to the game the right way through energy, communication, attention to detail, and genuine investment in development.

At a reduced rate of $50/hour, this program allows families access to quality instruction and mentorship at a more affordable entry point than our standard private lesson rates.

Areas of Instruction

Between the three instructors, players ages 8–9 will have access to instruction in:

  • Hitting
  • Pitching
  • Fielding
  • Catching

Meet the Instructors

Hunter Barnes

Hunter has been part of the PBP development pipeline for years and currently attends Frederick Community College. Hunter was named Frederick County Player of the Year in 2024. He has shown a strong interest in mentoring and teaching younger players while continuing his own development at the collegiate level.

Jaxson Wood

Jaxson also developed within the PBP environment over many years and currently attends Frederick Community College. His ability to connect with younger athletes and communicate instruction clearly made him a natural fit for this program. Jaxson has been a bit of a journeyman so far in his collegiate career and still has ample eligibility left. He began at Hood College, but transferred to Clarion before the Spring season. While Clarion was not a great fit, he found himself back closer to home at FCC, and will land on his feet at a 4 year school this Fall (2026).

Trenton Mueck

Trenton is a right-handed pitcher committed to Mount St. Mary’s University and has been part of the PBP system throughout his development. He brings strong baseball knowledge, professionalism, and leadership to younger players entering the game. Trent was just recently ranked at #6 in the state of Maryland by Baseball America as a RHP for the entire 2026 class.

Program Philosophy

This program is not babysitting and it is not random reps.

It is an opportunity for younger athletes to learn from players who have lived the process themselves inside our environment for years. These instructors understand the standards, routines, habits, and expectations that have shaped the culture of Pease Baseball Professionals, and they are excited to help pass that experience down to the next generation.
